When using the "Get exchange object of type email" on specific emails, the populated dataset only contains the very first row of text in that email message, when in fact the email contains about 100 rows of text.

More specifically the value for dataset.body only contains one row of text from the email message and the rest of it is non existing.
I've verified it by using a dialog to display the dataset.body value as well as loopingeach row in the dataset.body.

This happens on emails containing just pure text written in them but in this specific format:

phone number ;social security number; surname firstname; date yyyymmdd; four letter code;date yyyymmdd; text ;

Example of how one row can look:
111 111111 ;111111 2222;SURNAME FIRSTNAME
MIDDLENAME ;20120725;FFFF;20120806;random text ;

Any ideas?
I do get the complete text from the dataset.body when the body only contains a fairly "norma"l type of text and a few rows less.

Hi Daniel,

How is the email generated? Is it possible that there is a NULL in the body of the email?

Hi Leonard, thanks for replying.

We get these emails from an external company so I can't tell how they generate it.
When I look at it there is no apparent occurrence of the word "NULL" in it, neither can I find it by searching for it in a text editor.

Daniel, I think a NULL would better be a binary zero, which you could detect only with an hexadecimal editor.

Thanks Jean, I checked using a hex editor this time and
I could not find any occurrence of 00 (hex) in the body of the email.

Each line ends with 3B, 0D, 0A (those are the three last characters).

Hi Daniel,

Is there anyway possible that we can get a copy of a generated email? I would like to test this internally.

Leonard,

I could email it to you, although that could perhaps alter it from it's original "unusable" form?

Please pm me the email adress.

Hi Daniel,

It's worth a try. If we can reproduce it here, then we can definitely fix it. Maybe including the original email as an attachment would preserve its format. Please send the email to support@networkautomation.com and reference this forum thread.

Hi Daniel,

I apologize for the delayed response. I have confirmed the issue with both BPA8 and BPA9. In my testing, it does not return any data into the dataset. I have found that using the Get Email action will work in this case and return the entire dataset.body contents. Can you try using this action instead and see if you get the same results?

Hi Leonard,

Thanks for looking into it, but I just tried the "Get Email" action and it only returns the very first row in the dataset.body.

So no difference compared to the "get exchange object" action at all.
I've tried both the "Get single message action" as well as "Get messages" (Within the Get Email action) both return only the very first line of text from the emails body.

Hi Daniel,

Would it be possible to setup a GoToAssist session so that we can take a closer look at this issue? If so please send over an email with a list of your availability to support@networkautomation.com

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the assistance during our last GoToAssis meeting.
Could you please PM me the email adress where you'd like us to send you a copy of the "misbehaving" email to?

(I've unfortunately misplaced my notes from our meeting.)

Hi Daniel,

We did not receive an email. Was it supposed to be received today? Outside of our normal volume of support emails, I do not see any emails similar to what we should be receiving from you.
