When I try I receive the following error:

Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only.

Any ideas how I can work around this?

Hello Chad,

Which step(s) are you receiving the invalid data error on? Are you able to execute these steps on the agent machine outside of BPA?

The insert step into Sharepoint.  Only on the AssignedTo field which is original field in question.  I am not able to do this any other way but BPA.

Hi Chad,

Would it be possible to set-up a GoToAssist session where we can take a closer look at this issue? If this is possible please send an email over to AutoMate.Support@helpsystems.com with a list of your availability.

Note: Please reference this forum thread in your email.

Hello Edson,

I would suggest you email in as well for this issue. We can work with you via a case.

Hello,

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but I have the same issue. I would like to update a user column type. What should I text box for the column to accept the request?

Hello,

Is the data you are sending alpha numeric? Any special symbols contained within the data? What is the exact version number you are running to test?
