Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how the user defined command works with ftp server.
I have a script that connects to an FTP server on AS400, I upload a file and after the upload I want to execute a custom command ("qoute rcmd call...").
When I look in the log file it seems to have executed as follows "user_defined quote rcmd call...")

I have no access to the log files on the FTP server and gets no errors but the software vendor that runs the AS400 says that the command is not executing.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Are you using the FTP advanced actions, the user defined command?  And in your FP log, it shows that it is executing the command?  Does the FTP server give any response to the command?

After some trial and error, I was able to get this functionality working on an FTP session to our iSeries server from our Automate9 application.

This was the configuration that I used:

<AMFTP ACTIVITY="advanced" FTPCOMMAND="user_defined" PARAMETER="rcmd call MyLib/MyProgram" />
