Any reason why the HTTP action doesn't support the PATCH request method? I want to use a ReST/json API that utilises the PATCH method extensively. Any possible workarounds?

Hello Jason,
Unfortunately the action doesn't support the PATCH functionality currently, but we will be adding a feature request based on your goals. If the feature request is accepted by our development team, we will post the Feature Request number in this thread. ------------------------- ![]() Alex Escalante | Support Analyst AutoMate | Division of HelpSystems HelpSystems, LLC | T: +1.213.738.1700 | F: +1.213.738.7665 |

The PATCH request is used extensively across many APIs, including many of the Google APIs and some lesser known ones that we use. It is an integral component of REST functionality and presently we need to work around the absence of this action type by using cURL. Expediting the feature request would be appreciated as the HTTP PATCH method is core to HTTP requests. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Methods/PATCH for more.

i have experienced this problem and found a work around. For me, adding &method=PATCH converts a POST into a PATCH. This works if the server supports it. Some servers take slightly different arguments for the "method" command, so asking the service provider might be necessary.

David, thanks so much for your suggestion. No luck for me so far, but I have many API integrations so will keep testing and maybe some servers will support the query string approach. Appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge on this.
