When I try and run task from task admin getting the following error:
The task cannot run because the workstation is logged off, and the credentials specified on the managed task are incorrect or invalid, preventing the workstation from being logged on. I know the credentials are correct as when I change task logon properties from workstation is logged off: Logon specified user to run in background it logons on but fails because it's an Interactivity task which requires GUI. The specified user is a service account and not the same user connected to RDP. If I change the Event Monitor User: 'Specified User' from the service account to the same user connected to RDP it works. However RDP user could be different then the service account (which really) is just an account created to run these tasks. Please advise. |

Hello Nick,
Outside of AutoMate, can you log into windows as the user that you are trying to have AutoMate log in as? Also, do you have a different remote viewing software that we can use to troubleshoot (if we need to troubleshoot further)? We will need to see where the failure occurs, and as you know, RDP will close the remote window when logging off, preventing us from seeing what part of the logon/unlock process is actually failing. ------------------------- ![]() Alex Escalante | Support Analyst AutoMate | Division of HelpSystems HelpSystems, LLC | T: +1.213.738.1700 | F: +1.213.738.7665 |
