Hi Guys, new to the forum. i was wondering if someone can give me some pointers to how i can setup automate to download from FTP server with 2 filemasks?
the files i am looking at will looking something like this. name_yyyymmdd.csv e.g (hello_20180422.csv) Ideally, i would like to download using a file mask hello_* but i would also like to have something setup to represent the date, so i was thinking perhaps i can put this in as well "%format(Date()-1, "yyyymmdd")%" Now, how do i put everything together so that Automate recognise what i wanted to do? Appreciate your help. |

Hi Eddy,
The easiest method would be to use the Text format date/time action to specify the format you want for the date and store the output in a variable. Then combine that either in the mask or in a variable. This is illustrated in the steps below. Task Steps: (Right click, Select All, Copy to copy to the clipboard. Steps can then be pasted into the AutoMate Task Builder) ------------------------- ![]() Justin Aucoin | Support Analyst AutoMate | Division of HelpSystems HelpSystems, LLC | T: +1.213.738.1700 | F: +1.213.738.7665 |
