Hi Guys,

I use the the url encode task (automate 11.05) to encode a url from a dataset and upload them to a url shorter. Now something changed in the URLs that i got from the dataset and they contains now % in den URL and the URL encode fails with:

[Main](Step 15) Unhandled script error: Expecting ')'

Any tips? I found some Posts to escape the % with %% but i tried to fix to load that dataset into a variable and replace the % with %% but an error that this Expression was not found.

Tips?

Regards
Timo

Are you able to provide a sample URL and/or task?

Hi Timo,

You would want to use the text replace action and store the url into a variable. For the Find box enter %% and for the Replace with use %%%%. This will have Automate effectively replace the % with %%. That way when you reference the variable it will output correctly and without error when you send the url to url shortner. An example of this is in the attached steps.

The csv contained only multiple rows of just the url you provided
http://partners.webmasterplan....node%2F39881,text,text

Task Steps: (Right click, Select All, Copy to copy to the clipboard. Steps can then be pasted into the AutoMate Task Builder)
