I am trying to establish a SQL connection. After specifying the parameters in the step, the Test Connection is successful. However, when I try to run it in my Task Builder, it gets an error... Connection to the database failed (Login failed for user 'svc_automate_XXX'.)

What am I missing?

Kathy, just happen to get the same error yesterday, so quickly 2 things to check:
1. Make sure you select 'Save Password' option
2. The Microsoft SQL Adapter rips the password even if you select to save password, switch to OleDB

Hopefully this will help.

you may also want to go to the advanced tab in the sql connection setup and edit persist security to change it from false to true. I sometimes have to do this to keep the task builder from dropping the password. ;-)
