Hello, a workflow-newby question.

I have a worflow which can be triggered two ways, on a file trigger and on a time trigger.
I created a shared variabel vTime and I want to have it 0 when the file trigger was used and have it 1 when the Time trigger was used.

I cannot find out how to do this. I do see the 'created variable' option in the workflow but I don't see options to change the value of it within the workflow. Can you change the value within the workflow ?

Hello,

I have added an example on your request. After importing setup the File Trigger path and add a file to the target folder. When triggered via the file trigger the %vTime% shared variable will be set to 1. If you trigger the task via run from the SMC the shared variable %vTime% will be 0.

Let us know if that works for you.

Hello Ricardo,

When I import 'Shared workflow.ampkg' in version 11 it completely hangs the server.
After a restart I imported the file in 10, then I got the message "There was in an error during the import".

After the restart I just found the 'Shared Workflow' workflow.
What you send me is a solutions but my question remains: is it possible to change a variable value within a work flow (with a work flow control object) or can you only do that using a task?

Hello Edward,

You will need to change the value of a variable within the tasks of the workflow.
