Is there a method for detecting if an automate agent is online or offline?

This seems to be easy, but it's not. When you build functionality for checking for disconnected agents, this functionality is stored in a task, and tasks are always executed on an agent. So, it the agent you're running this functionality on is disconnected, the check will never run. So the BPA server should have some functionality to report disconnected agents by mail or eventlog.
But it would be nice to have a possibility to query the server from the agent: IsAgentRunning( "B")?

Is this already addressed on version 10.2.0.6? If we can detect if the agent is down we can notifiy the corresponding team to check if agent if its down or up. With this we can send an email notification that assistance is needed.

Hello,
If you have multiple agents you can setup a scenario where you have each agent ping the other to make sure they are up and running. We do have a feature request regarding this scenario in our DB.
