Hello all,

I am trying to automate the task of downloading something from a FTP server. The tricky part, as far as I see, is going to be that we have to connect to a VPN prior to connecting to the FTP. Now I see that PBA Server 7 has a "Connect To Network" option that states  "Establishes a connection to another network using a VPN or dial-up" but as far as I see it only allows you to connect to Dial In VPN's as I don not see a field for an IP address, only one for a Phone Number.

So my question is;

Is there any way to connect to a server over VPN using an IP address?

I see that I may be able to setup a VPN connection on my server with the information needed to connect to the remote server, and then maybe call on that connection via a run task within BPA, has anyone tried this before?

Thanks for any assistance,

Robert

Hi Robert,

You need to create the VPN connection from within Windows first and then the connection becomes available in the drop down menu. Unfortunately, the manual connection method is not available.
