I am tryin to select the exit option from the file menu on a window, but I am not sure what automate option to select to see the menu control "File" then click it, then fin the option "Exit" then click it.
My version of Automate, does not recognize these controls. I am on Automate 7

Hi Alex,
From looking at the screenshot provided, you can accomplish this through keystrokes as well. Pressing the ALT key will highlight the menu bar. Pressing the F key will open the File menu. Pressing the X key will select the Exit menu selection. Also, a combination of ALT and F4 would close the window as well. It depends on how you want to exit the application. If the interactivity actions are not able to recognize the controls, I would recommend using the keystrokes. Also, please make sure you post in the appropriate forums pertaining to the version of AutoMate you are troubleshooting.
