HI,
We have an issue where a customer has changed their FTP settings yesterday (without warning us they were doing so). Since then we are unable to transfer files to or from their server via an automate task.
We can connect and transfer files fine inside FlashFXP and FileZilla, so it is not a problem their end or with the firewall etc.
The following is the connection being established:
<AMFTPLOGIN SERVER="ftpsite.com" USERNAME="user" PASSWORD="Password" PORT="21" TYPE="ftps_explicit" ENCRYPTDATACHANNEL="YES" LOGFILE="FTP.log" OVERWRITELOG="NO" PASSIVEMODE="YES" TIMEOUT="90" />
This appears to happen and creates the following log entries:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then when we try to download with the following:
<AMFTPDOWNLOAD SOURCE="/PROD/OUT/PO/*.done" DEST="\PurchaseOrders\" AM_ONERROR="BREAKLOOP" />
we get an error of "Unable to build data connection: Operation not permitted (425)"
If I turn encryption off in the connection we get "Unwilling to accept security parameters (534)"
We requested a certificate from the client and also tried using that but we get the same errors in both cases.

Hi Graham,
Have you tried adding a check for compatibility mode in the FTP logon action?

Hi,
Tried every possible combination of tick boxes and with and without a certificate.
Breaking things down and performing every command as a user_defined command, it seems that if I issue a PASV command then attempt a download the session times out, and without the PASV command I get the 425 error above.
As it turns out, we are not unique in this problem. Other companies the customer deals with have also reported the same issue. So for the moment they have reversed the change they made and we are working again. For a large number of companies to have the same problem it must be something at the customers end not set correctly. Therefore this call can be closed. Thanks
