Hi all, Have had this for the longest and need to loop through folder/sub folders containing xml files and extract specific elements to excel file. I have not touched this software in quite a while and I am very rusty. any help would greatly be appreciated. I have included a sample xml file and the elements i will need are (user_name, created_date, target_file, target_path and duration)
Task Steps: (Right click, Select All, Copy to copy to the clipboard. Steps can then be pasted into the AutoMate Task Builder) |

Hello Sal,
We suggest looping through the folder containing the XML files, and creating a dataset for the xml files. Once you have the parameter for the xml file names, you can create a secondary loop within the first loop to extract the information requested (XML node to dataset) and write it to an excel file. Once the inner loop has written to the xml file, it will break back out to the main loop changing the xml file name, and once again processing it inside the second loop. Please let us know if that works for you.
