I'm working on a task where we use global variables to achieve certain tasks.

There are scenarios where task run stops when there is a failure in the execution.

Once it's stopped global variable lost it's data.

Due to this,I've to start the task execution from first and not able to start from where it's failed.

Is there any option to retain the data of a variable until the automate application closed?

Please help me on this issue.

Regards,

Karthi K

You have constants, but you can not change the value. I'm not aware of the ability to keep a variable value after a task stops (unless you write the value to a file every time....)

Hi Gijsberth de Ruiter,

Thanks for suggestions and update. Isn't a vaild requirement to keep a variable value after a task stops and until the application closed?. I thought it's supposed to be. Example application: PowerGUI, which keeps a vaiable value until the application closed.

Regards,

Hello,

The value of the variable is gone once the task is done running. If you would like to keep it, I would suggest that you write it to a file as suggested by Gijsberth.
