Hi Ernerst,
Does the encrypted attachment not download, or just not decrypt? Do you know how the attachment was encrypted? ------------------------- - Rick Johnson Network Automation |

Hi Ernest,
I'll need to review some of these details with the development team, but I have some questions pertaining to the certificate. Does the Lotus client prompt you for the certificate when you retrieve the attachment, or do you need to already have this certificate imported before the attachment is downloaded? What encryption method is used? Is it possible to use POP3 to download the same message and attachment? ------------------------- - Rick Johnson Network Automation Edited: 07/28/2010 at 02:03 PM by Rick Johnson (N.A.) |

Hi Ernest,
AutoMate is not able to handle encrypted email at this time. I have sent this to the development team for consideration in a future update. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. I'm not sure how well this would work for you, but you might try sending the emails unencrypted, but attach files that are pre-encrypted using an encryption method that AutoMate can decrypt, here is a list from the Help file: The Available options are:
Public/Private Key: An asymmetric form of encryption that relies on a cryptographically generated public/private key pair. Encryption is performed with the public key and can only be decrypted with the corresponding private key. PGP Passphrase: Require a particular PGP passphrase to decrypt. PGP Public/Private Key: PGP uses a system which binds the public keys to a an e-mail address. Requires the associated PGP private key to decrypt. OpenPGP Passphrase: Requires a particular OpenPGP passphrase to decrypt. OpenPGP Public/Private Key: Encryption is performed using OpenPGP public key and can only be decrypted with the corresponding private key. Available encryption algorithm options for Passphrase are:
DES RC2 TripleDES Available encryption algorithm options for PGP Passphrase and OpenPGP Passphrase are:
3DES CAST5 Blowfish AES128 AES192 AES256 Twofish256 I hope that this information can be of some assistance to you. ------------------------- - Rick Johnson Network Automation |

Hi Rick, The certificate has pre-installed in Lotus Client. We cannot change the encryption/decryption methods as the file is sent from our customer Best Regards, Ernest
