looping through some dates in a spreadsheet to test them before passing to an xml and get the following results

isdate(11/09/2013) = TRUE
isdate(05/092013) = FALSE

these are correct however I am also getting the following:

isdate(12/09/201) = TRUE

Has anyone else come accross this and have a solution? I guess the function is only looking at the high level (ie. the slashes are in the correct place and the fact the year is incorrect doesn't matter).

Hervey,
that looks normal, and I get the same results.
Year 201 is supposed to exist.

Hi Jean,

Is there a start criteria for this year. When i tried 0001 it chages to 2001?

I guess (just guess, no more) that years under 100 refer to the current century.
