I am running a sql server 2008 stored procedure called from automate and automate keeps giving me this message:

"Microsoft ole db provider for sql server: query timeout expired".

The procedure runs for only 2 minutes or so. I edited the sql connection - advanced property tab and changed the "connect timeout" from blank to 1000.

after the change, If I view the timeout property, it is blank again. And when I run the task, it still times out. I also changed the "general timeout" value and it also does not save the changes.

Hi Mac,

I am not able to reproduce your issue in our latest version of AutoMate 8 version 8.0.9.0

I would recommend that you upgrade to AutoMate 8 v8.0.9 as soon as possible.

Is upgrading to version 8.0.9 possible?

Never mind. I got it working. I was trying to set the timeout property of the dsn (data link properties) instead of the timout of the automate procedure action itself.

The timeout property of the data link does not save.

The screen was misleading as it says the timeout was optional. I figured it would not timeout if I did not set a value.
