Hi everyone,

The goal is to retrieve e-mails from an Exchange server functional mailbox. Therefor I used a Get Email task from the Network tree.

After entering the location details and credentials and running the task I receive the following error:

 Invalid <link_to_Exchange_box> URL.

When I copy and paste the link into any webbrowser I can log in by entering the credentials manually.

I use the Exchange 2003 (WebDAV) protocol.

What could I be doing wrong?

Kind regards,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Please export your task from AutoMate 8 Task Administrator, feel free to remove your password, *.zip up the task and attach to the ticket so we may review.

Please find file attached. One note, the POP3 task was disabled, it is only there for testing purposes.

Hi Mark,

Can you try changing the "Exchange Server" from https to http in the Server drop down?

Let us know if that helps you.

Hi Ricardo,

That didn't help unfortunately. The same error message arises.

I think that the webaddress isn't the real Exchange server, but a front-end in some way. So maybe that is the reason why it says Invalid url. I tried other protocols, without much improvement though.

Could you please check that webmail can be used while using the Exchange 2003 (WebDAV) protocol?

Kind regards

Hi Mark,

Can you login to the same exchange server using web ... Outlook line?

Usually WebDAV follows this format on website

Message URI Format = http or https: //server/exchange/user@domain.com

Hi Ricardo,

Yes, the error message is Invalid URI, but when I copy paste the link to Internet Explorer I get a login page. This actually works.

Problem remains the same.

Kind regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Would it be possible to set-up a GoToAssist session where we can take a closer look at this issue? If this is possible please send an email over to support@networkautomation.com with a list of your availability.

Note: Please reference this forum thread in your email.
