Hi everyone,

I am trying to encrypt multiple files through Open PGP encryption but unfortunately I seem to be having troubles with it. The tools I am using is Automate BPA Server 9 for encryption and Kleopatra for decryption.

When I try to go though trying to encrypt multiple files ie, encrypting *.* in a folder, and decrypt it, it only decrypts one of the original files.

Also, Automate doesn't seem to allow me to select a folder to be encrypted.

So far, the only solution I've found is to zip up the folder first and then encrypt it.

Is there no other way around it (ie not having to zip it first)

Thanks,

Lakshmi

Hi Lakshmi,

Another way would be to get the File names through File Action and do a Loop on the created DataSet, encrypting each file and outputting it's encrypted file. I do not have Version 9 installed so I can not give you a working AML to try but it should be easy to figure out. Let us know and we can give you a working sample if you can't get it to work.

Hi Hamid,

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to perform the way you suggested, but wouldn't that produce an encrypted file for each of the files? What I would like is just one encrypted file containing all of the files in it.

Thanks,

Lakshmi

Hi Lakshmi,

I would suggest you try compressing (TAR) the files then encrypt them.

I have also placed a link down below that you can reference.

Please let us know if that works for you.
