Hello,

I was hoping someone could help out with this one.

We just upgraded to BPA Server 8 from version 8.0.5.1 (unpublished version) to version 8.0.9 on our Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit, SP1 -v6.1.7601 machine.

After the upgrade, we started receiving the following error when trying to connect via FTP to external FTP servers:

Error message: FTP Error : The type initializer for 'SBSSHClient.TElSSHClient' threw an exception.

It's not constant - just sporadic. When we log on as the default user, it seems to correct itself and the errors stop. But when the default user logs off the server, we start seeing the error again. It might be coincidental, but it was worth mentioning.

Under Logon (Options) we have all three items set to "Background user (defined below)" and it's pushing to the default user account specified in the agent options. Same way we had it before upgrading to 8.0.9. We have not ever seen this error before in all our previous versions.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your post. A GoToAssist session, with someone in your company, was done to try and diagnose this error. It looked like the Agent Service was effecting the way tasks were running. But we believe you've since rolled back to a previous version of BPA Server.

Yes, you are correct. We had to roll back the upgrade due to the production issues it caused.
