Hi,
I have an OLD application that has processes that must stay running. I'm trying to create a workflow that will monitor for the processes running and send a notification if they're not. The workstation they run on is Windows XP SP3, and we're running Automate BPA Server 8.0.9.0. I'm mapping a drive and connecting to the workstation, but the 'If process is running' isn't finding the process. The same code works fine on the application FAT client install on the Automate workstation, but maybe I need to do it differently for a process running on a remote machine? Thanks for any guidance you can provide - I appreciate it!

Hi Becki,
Thank you for your post. With BPA Server 8, you would need an Agent running on the remote machine to use any Process actions other than "Get Process Information." However, in BPA Server 9, you can input the remote machine information in the End Process and If Process is running actions like you are wanting to do in BPA Server 8.

Thanks Liz. Sounds much easier to wait until we upgrade rather than try to deal with the WMI related permissions, etc. Have a great day!
