Hello,

I am extremely new to Automate. I have been watching the tutorials, and reading whatever I can on the message boards. It has been a great help, and this software is fantastic.

I however, have something I can't find much info on.

I have software that is on another workstation. I must log into that workstation via RDP and exectute some actions. (I have to upload a file via GUI on the workstation though RDP)

I'm finding it quite difficult to get the connection to even work to the workstation.(I got it to work, but its hit or miss)

That isn't the main issue.

The main issue, is that once connected to the RDP, I'm finding it difficult to use any of the automate commands to "drag mouse to ojbect" or even get a proper fixed coordinate system.

Is there something I am missing, perhaps at a lower level to allow me to execute commands via RDP using an automate task?

Automate Version is 8

Windows version 7

Hi Steve,

AutoMate cannot recognize objects through a remote session. It will need to be installed on the remote machine in order to use the more advanced interactivity actions. You will only be able to user Send Keystrokes and Move Mouse actions.
