I've noticed after having a SMC open and running for a few days that it does not display any events about workflows that have been run or anything else at all.

This occurs even thoug I have selected all the options in the Logging output settings. (see included picture).

Now, I can tell that the workflows have run since there is an updatet last result on the workflows etc, but I can not see the event in the Output window, or any event what so ever.

Any ideas?

Hi Daniel,

The development team is looking into this issue now.

Restarting SMC will resume the expected operation of the Output tab.

One possibility, are there other users on the system at other stations who are also leaving SMC open, or does SMC run on one machine?

Hi Rick,

Sometimes there is up to 3 users (at the same time) that have the SMC up and running, at least two of them have the debug logg to the output window enabled.

These machines are workstations with only the developer tools installed (and agent).

Hi Daniel,

Sometimes the most recent SMC to connect is the only instance that receives the output log messages, and this is possibly the case here. This will be fixed in the next v8 update.

It would be great if it was fixed in the same release as where you fix me other three issues but we'll see I guess.

Hi Daniel,

I have asked to see what can be done for this specific fix. I will let you know.

Hi,
We're on BPA Server 8.0.9.0 and one of the developers just reported to me that they aren't seeing any event logs. Sounds like it might be this issue, so before I go doing more research I wanted to find out if this issue has been fixedin v8.0.9.0

Thanks!
Becki

Hi Becki,

Please make sure that the Logging Output is configured correctly. Go to Options > Preferences > Logging Output and make sure that 'Show All Events' is selected for Execution Events, General Events, and Audit Events.
