Hey,

We're running BPA 8.0.1.10 on a virtual ms windows server 2003 R2 (sp 2), and i have a few questions about execution server threads and handles.

When we reboot the server the number of execution server threads count to around 20-30, and handles < 100.
When the server has been running for about 5-7 days, the execution server threads counts to above 450, and the handles count to above 6000. The server runs slowly, and has to be rebooted.

Now, we do want to reboot the server once a week anyways, but what causes this, and isnt there a built in functionality to clear idle threads that are >12h old or something like that?

... oh, and by the way, the task manager on the server actually says that bpas_exec.exe uses 920 threads.

Hi Andreas,

This should not be occurring. Please send an email to support@networkautomation.com with your availability and reference this forum thread. We would like to schedule a remote session to troubleshoot and correct the issue.
