I have a question on one of our tasks in general.

The task trigger is set to check a network folder every 60 seconds.  If it finds .txt files then process them (move to different directories, copy, etc.).  That all works fine.

I have more of a general question though.  Right now the priority type is set to "Always Run". So if it finds 10 text files it will run 10 times and process them.

My question is if I set the priority to "Limit number of simultaneous instances of this task" to say 4 and "If the condition is not met" to Don't Run will it run the 6 left over .txt files the next time it checks that folder or will it skip those 6 files and wait for "new" ones after that?

I would suggest that you change your trigger from a file trigger to a schedule trigger. You can then set your task to check for files. If the files exist go ahead and loop then process the files. If no files are in the folder it can end the task gracefully. By setting up the task this way you can ensure all files in the folder get processed.

Let us know if this works for you.
