In v10 (maybe in other versions as well) when a task is open to edit the steps, instead of first step under My Actions focused (highlighted) I suggest you make the first step (first line of code highlighted) since that seems would be the most likely place a developer would be focused upon.

Hello Jeff,

In v9 the 1st step within the task is indeed highlighted.
I will investigate why this was changed in v10.

Keep in mind this is only viable if the 'Developer' in question is indeed editing the first step by pressing the ENTER key to edit Step 1 OR using the Down Arrow key to edit another step further in the task.
If the developer moves his/her hand to the mouse to edit a step other than Step 1 then they can easily edit Step 1 using the mouse, which then makes the fact step 1 is not highlighted, 'moot'.

And in closing, most tasks have variables listed in the beginning, not actual action/activities.
