Hi,
I'd like to add a feature request for WS-Security: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WS-Security We currently have 2 customers who use this in their environment and we are unable to communicate with parts of their network due to this limitation. Could you let me know what the ID of this request is? Regards, Benjamin ------------------------- ![]() |

Hi Benjamin,
Would it be possible to elaborate on your request a bit further? I want to make sure that we add your request correctly. ------------------------- ![]() Ricardo Castaneda | Principal Support Analyst AutoMate | Division of HelpSystems HelpSystems, LLC | T: +1.213.738.1700 |

Hi Ricardo,
Sorry it took a while for me to respond. WS Security is the defacto way for enterprise sized companies to secure their webservices. The customers we are serving use it to sign and encrypt their SOAP calls. Microsoft has a pretty extensive article about it, and they support it in .NET, so it should be far from impossible for you to implement ;-). https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms977327.aspx The customers we have currently use username/password and certificates to authenticate through WS-Security. While working with it we also noticed that the Web Services action is far from complete. Webservices are currently the numer two thing (after file transfer) we get asked about in sales pitches. This action has already been improved in v10, but still needs to be more flexible and more user friendly. At this time we have to resort to using manual HTTP POST call's too often. I know these are 2 seperate things, but they are closely related. Is this enough info? Regards, Benjamin ------------------------- ![]() |
