In the past 24 hours, I have started getting a "HTTP failed (Error : Connection failed (error code is 75782))" error from the following code which has worked perfectly fine to date. This indicates an SSL handshake error. There are no issues with Internet access on the server. Any idea what might be causing this? The problem doesn't seem to be the destination URL itself - that service is responding normally to requests made via the browser and I doubt that Facebook's API would be off lien for more than 24 hours.

Hello Jason,

Please confirm your version number. You may do so by clicking on "Help" in the Task Administrator, then selecting "about". The version number will be in the bottom left corner of the screen that pops up.

Hi Alex,

Version 9.0.5.4 (AM9).

It was working fine on this version, then it just stopped working for no apparent reason. I'm assuming that Facebook has perhaps changed something at their end (although I can't imagine what or why) - it's a pretty simple post to a common SSL URL and I've checked the syntax is still correct. I've also verified permissions etc in their debugging tool, although it's not even getting to the authentication point as it appears to be dropping the SSL connection at the handshake. Confirming the same issue still exists at the moment.

Hello Jason,

There is a possibility your token as expired. Either acquire a new token are renew the existing one and then then attempt to run the task again.

Valentineo,

No, it's definitely not an access token issue. The access token is renewed and valid. I have tested the access token granted on the Access Token Debugger at Facebook and it confirms the token is valid:

Expires 1404781200 (in about an hour)
Valid True
Origin Web
Scopes public_profile, manage_pages, publish_actions

If the token was invalid, the HttpPostResponse would look like:

{"error":{"message":"Error validating access token: Session has expired on Jun 26, 2014 12:00am. The current time is Jun 26, 2014 12:40am.","type":"OAuthException","code":190,"error_subcode":463}}

The issue here is that AutoMate is not even getting to that point - it can't establish an SSL connection with the Facebook Graph API, yet I can process GET requests perfectly fine on the server's browser. We have around 600 workflows in place, many of which interact with various external systems via SSL, and they are all working fine.

Hello Jason,

Would you be so kind as to export your task from Task Administrator, *.zip it and email it to support@networkautomation.com so we may review?
Note: Please reference this forum thread in your email.

Example:

Hello Jason,

Thank you for allowing us to investigate this matter via Go To Assist

The research we gathered deemed the following results:
-client updated token and was able to successfully post using hurl.it
-error still remains when posting from AM9054
-Facebook has most likely updated their OpenSSL authentication parameters possibly due to the 'Heartbleed' phenomenon
-v9.0.5.4 of AutoMate is running an out of date SSL library
-v10.0.0.42 is running a more up to date SSL library | when testing in v10, the appropriate HTTPS response is received

Potential work a round:
1 client can use HTTP (unsecure) Post instead
2 client can use a 3rd party *.exe utility through the AutoMate Run action to submit the HTTP Post command

Request enhancement:
Full documentation of change request to update SSL Library within upcoming release of v9.0.6.X

Good day

I've picked up the same issue all of a sudden.

We are running Automate 9.0.4.5 but I don't see a V 9.0.6 on the update site.

Hi Justin,

Version 9 has the SSL libraries that it shipped with. If you require updated SLL libraries then you will need to upgrade to v10 or v11. There are no more updates for v9.
