ok, so for some reason I am unable to share a screen shot.  the error messages i'm getting are as follows.    when opening the task manager, first popup says:

Header:  FormCreationStuff      Body:  Red X followed by Class not found.  below is a button to push that says ok.   I press the button and the next error message pops up.

Header:  FormCreate      Body: Red X followed by Contral 'dxMyActionsDockPanel' has no parent window.   below is a button to push that says ok.   I press the button and i'm back to the main screen while the task manager appears for a brief second then dissappears.

Wilhelm,
From the errors you are getting, seems like you are NOT in Task Administrator, could you please see exactly what you are clicking on and report that. It seems more like TaskBuilder?

1.  I open Task Administrator

2.  click on Processes

3. double click on a process to open it

4. click on Edit Steps

5.  I get the errors.   Class not found  (click ok)  Control 'dxMyActionsDockPanel' has no parent window (click ok)

one more note, when I sign in as the adminitrator I do not have this issue, could this be an issue with my user account?  There are two others with accounts and one other is having the same issue while one is not.

Wilhelm,
If you say you open the Task Administrator, then you can open it, so your title to the thread is misleading and hence my questions.
As I mentioned you are NOT opening the 'Task Administrator' when you get the error then. Task Administrator DOES have 'Edit Steps' for a Managed Task, it could be 'Processes' is a Folder you have created, no one else will have it. It seems like you are able to open the Task Administrator and work with it (going into a folder, getting to a task and clicking on it's 'Edit Steps'.
When you go to 'Edit Steps' that launches 'Task Builder' , the Task Builder does not open and error. A screen shot would be awesome, but I understand that you are having issues attaching one. In most cases in AutoMate, Task Builder does need Admin rights since it gets some setting from registry, however, the error you are mentioning is not pointing in that direction. Since you are able to open as administrator, I have to assume the 'classes' it is not finding are actually there but not accessible.

I am not involved with Task Builder code, so I will have to find out if Admin rights are needed all the time, OR if there is some UI reset we can do to alleviate this.

Wilhelm,
There is a way to reset each users AMTB preferences. You need to run regedit.exe from command prompt. Then navigate to the TaskBuilder folder and delete it for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Follow the path in the attachment. You will have to do it for each user logged in that is having issues.
I hope this fixes things.

here I am attempting to open only the task builder:

---------------------------
FormCreationStuff
---------------------------
Class  not found
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I click the ok button and get:

---------------------------
FormCreate
---------------------------
Control 'dxMyActionsDockPanel' has no parent window
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Again, I click ok and the task builder appears briefly and closes.   I get this same result when I try to open any saved task in our task folder or when I'm in the Task Administrator attempting to edit steps in a process.

Great news! I am happy it was at least as simple as a reset! Now both of us are happy!

Hi Luca,

I sent you a response on your support ticket, but you'll want to delete the "TaskBuilder" folder itself.  If you have further questions, please let me know through the support ticket.
