I have tasks that may be triggered and run independently at the same time. However, they write data to the same Excel spreadsheet. It may be the same Task or another Task that is running independently.

I need the current task to wait for any other running task(s) to complete and close the spreadsheet before continuing the current task. How can I check if a particular task is running?

Hello Erik,

I think you may want to setup the task to add a marker, for example creating a temp file. Have other task check for that file, if it exist then don't run. Once the task is done running delete the file.

There is an Action where I can wait for a process to finsh. I guess that there is no similar Action where I can wait for a named task to finish?

That would be useful to have (consider this a feature request)!

Good idea otherwise to add a marker file. Thanks, I will try that (The new task will have to wait until the marker file is gone before continuing)
