Hi,

Please provide specifics as what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to send the contents of a worksheet tab embedded within an email?

yes sir.... I am trying to send both the contents and formats of an excel worksheet tab embedded within an email body...

We usually use SAS proc report or similar ways to embed reports into an email body. But it is not convenient to adjust formats. So we just want to know if this version of automate tool could have some ways to do that...

Hello Wolfgang,

Unfortunately we cannot embed the contents within the email body. We can write out the contents in a list type format or we can attach the excel file to the email. To do so, you will need to read the data into a dataset and loop through that dataset.

We apologize for the inconvenience .

thanks.

You could extract the Excel content into a dataset. Then loop the dataset and build an HTML string with a table, table heading etc with desired formatting. This will probably be limited to more basic formatting without any graphs or similar..

You could capture image of summary tab using AutoMate or using excel's camera function or windows snipping tool or using VBA. Convert image to base64 and embed image into email body using HTML and base64. For more information search google. There are many ways to accomplish this using AutoMate and windows tools such as powershell.

However best solution that works pretty much works on all devices and don't have to worry about email/firewalls blocking images would be to just send PDF and user can just open file.
