Looks like I'm going to be dropping back to AM7 at this point :frustration:
Yesterday, I had to run a bunch of tasks manually as the AM9 Service did not stop/start properly during my nightly log cleanup. When I manually started these tasks I noted the following properties on the task: Last Launch Date: 1/7/2012 9:11:26 AM Next Launch Date: 1/8/2012 6:00:00 AM
Today, I come in and find all of my tasks have not run this morning. Looking at the same task as above I see the following:
Last Launch Date: 1/7/2012 9:11:26 AM Next Launch Date: 1/9/2012 6:00:00 AM The Rescheduling Properties are set to: When the trigger is late: Immediately run the task Reschedule the trigger: Relative to the original scheduled time. For giggles, I manually set the next launch date back to 01/08/2012 @ 6:00AM and it almost immediatly changed to 01/09/2012 @ 6:00 without actually running the task (The last launch date didn't change from 01/07/2012)

Looks like AM9 and BPA9 would need a thorough Alpha testing in N/A labs before they come back to the market.

If it was Facebook, I would have liked this post and answer. I totally agree on this. Tasks do not run when scheduled, tho the TA tells me they have run! But no activity in logfiles. I think this is the basic functionality of AM, running tasks, but it doesn't.

Jeff,
What version of Windows are you running? What are the logon properties and priority settings for the task in question? We need a lot more information in order to troubleshoot this issue that cannot be reproduced based on the information provided. If possible, please export the task and attach the .aml file to your reply.

Suprised you guys haven't picked up on the Windows version I'm running by now ;P Its Windows 7 Pro btw. Regarding the information.... Logon Properties on a Task that runs every minute that exhibited this issue: When workstation is logged on: Logged on user When Workstation is logged of: Don't run When workstation is locked: Run as current user. It should be noted that I was actively working on this workstation. Priority settings are: Priority Type: Limit # of simultaneous instances of this task Max # of running tasks: 1 If the condition is not met: Don't run Task isolation: Default.
This issue applied to all tasks, so exporting a task may not help. I will see if I can reboot this workstation tommorow and recreate the issue (Stopping/Starting the service as Jean hinted at to see if this is the cause of the issue).

How was this resolved? I have similar issues with AM10. Tasks will run fine daily for months then stop all of a sudden. They will keep rescheduling to the next time without ever actually running.
