Guys,

I am not sure if the issue is with BPA or my task. On random(happened only twice in the last two month) I am getting Unexpected error has occured on Move Mouse Intractive step. I have pointed the step to a list item.

I am not sure why this issue happens. When i reran the job it works just fine.

Checked the application log and found an error for Automate Plugin at the same time.

I am not able to understand this log. Please go through this and let me know your understanding......

Hi Sarathi,

Would it be possible for you to post the task that causes this issue?

Is there anyway that you can reproduce this issue?

Hi Ricardo,

This happens very random, I believe it  won't be reproducable. This happend only the second time in two months. On both the occasions it hit error in the step to Move Mouse to List items.

I am not sure if it has anything to do with the task.... Also i will not be able to post the task,,, Its entirely Financial steps...

On both the occasions we have the error in the error log that i attached.

I just want to know if that error log states error with the task or with automate plugins.

Any new developments on this issue? For the past few weeks we've been seeing basically the same error - on tasks where the mouse needs to press a button inside Internet Explorer 9. We are running Automate version 9.0.4.5. The strange thing is, the problem is very random. We have this job running quite frequently, and at times it will work with-out fail for a longer period - and others, it will fail 90% of the time for a hour or so. I can't find any recent system changes that might of caused this, other than -maybe- windows updates on 12/15 - But - it didn't really seem to be an issue until several days later.

The error log:

Ricardo,
We will keep an eye on it today, if we can get it to reproduce consistently - a Meeting to show you sounds good to us.

Strange thing though - between Thursday and Friday - there were over 120+ occurrences of the error, and has been showing up pretty consistently for the last couple of weeks.

Sometime after 4:30 on Friday though - it stopped for the day, then only showed up 3 times on Saturday and twice on Sunday - and not yet so far today.... The jobs that create the error / fail to complete, run every 5 minutes, so we will know if it becomes wide-spread again.

Thank you for the quick attention to this matter, however lets wait and see if it shows up again before we schedule anything at this point. My Thursday is full, and - i'm at a loss to figure out why the error all of a sudden seems to have stopped.. right after my first post !! We've made no system or network changes... Just one of those strange things I guess.

thanks.

Hi Bob,

Another thing you may try in the meantime would be to use the WEB BROWSER action to press a button within IE9. The WEB BROWSER action uses a different dissection technology than the interactivity actions and is geared towards browsers only. This may alleviate the issue altogether should it arise again.

No,

We are using only session based press action. It is not occuring more often, so we are least bothered by this now.

Also I have retry logics in the steps this happens to try for 3 to 5 times in an interval of 5 seconds. It works fine.

In case if the issue happens on a particular step, use retry logic to try the step again in a time period. This is the workaround I am using.

Whenever I am getting this Issue it is with IE Intraction step or Press action.

We have migrated to BPA Server 10.

In this we have multiple unexpected error everytime we use it. It is not specific to any steps and it happens at random dealing with IE.

Our Server Version is : BPA Server 10.2.0.6

Windows Machine : Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1

Ram : 6GB

We are not able to identify why this issue happens. Atleast in BPA 9 this happened once or twice now it is happening very frequently.

Please let me know if any further information is needed for analyzing this issue.

We can have a session too if needed. I have multiple unexpected errors without any logic
