I just want to be sure I'm understanding how to set up SQL Connections and constants for each individual Agent, or if it can be done. On the properties for each individual agent, there is a place for SQL Connections and Constants. My question is if I set those there, will it always be in effect for just that agent? It seems that way, but I want to make sure. I know that SMTP for example can be set or it can use inherited values. I want to make sure nothing will override what we set on each agent.

Hi Mary,
That is correct. The Agent constants will override the Server constants but both sets of constants and values will be provided to a workflow.

Is it possible to make these connections available in the task builder if the dev tools are installed on a local desktop, separate and apart from any of the agent servers?
I'm testing a task with a stored SQL Connection and it works fine when I run it on an agent but fails with "[LogActivity](Step 2) Connection "MKTDB3" not found. " when I run it locally in the task builder.

Hello Andrew,
You should be able to if the user you are logged in to locally has rights and access to log in to the SQL database.
