This task will (1) close all Task Builder windows, (2) close the Task Administrator window, (3) stop the AutoMate Event Monitor and the AutoMate Service, and (4) allow you to edit your ATL file with your favorite editor (you need to configure (or disable) this at the end of the task).
This task uses the nice new action "AutoMate > ShutdownAutoMate". It will not stop currently running tasks (except perhaps those in TB windows), so you will need to add code if you want to do this. Alternatively you could set the corresponding option in the ShutdownAutoMate action, but note that this task would not run any of the remaining steps in that case. I recommend that you create a shortcut to this task for whenever you want to stop Automate. You cannot run it from a Task Builder window unless you change the task to allow for this (so that it doesn't close your Task Builder window). To restart Automate, just start Task Administrator. It will automatically restart the service and the event monitor. Task Steps: (Right click, Select All, Copy to copy to the clipboard. Steps can then be pasted into the AutoMate Task Builder) ------------------------- AutoMate Pro 7.1.1.0 (Medium isolation level) WinXP Home sp3, "Classic Theme", 120 DPI Edited: 10/04/2006 at 10:52 AM by Pete |
