See picture
This happens consistently after resume from hibernation.
Although the tray icon says "connected".
Restarting the agent service is necessary to resume normal operation.
This used to work nicely in BPA9.
It is common practice to hibernate an agent and resume later.
It should reconnect spontaneously.

This was submitted in the A-Team and is still present in BPA10.0.0.30

Hi Jean,

I apologize for the delay. I was able to reproduce this issue and I have added it to our database (#D5151).

Thank you for reporting this issue.

This appears as fixed in BPA10.0.0.33
EDIT : see next posts where the problem surfaces again intermittently.

Although I reported it as fixed on Dec 25 (my latter post OH,Oh,OH! ), in fact it is not.

After resume from hibernation the Agent tray icon now reports "disconnected", and the agent service must still be restarted to resume normal operation.

The behavior is inconsistent.
Yesterday upon resume from hibernation it showed "disconnected" and I had to restart the Agent service to get it right.
But this morning upon another resume it showed spontaneously "connected" and triggering was OK.
Strange.

Hi Jean,

Did you have any errors that you could share in the Windows Event Viewer (under application)?

To-day it again showed disconnected after resume from hibernation.
The behavior changes from day to day.
There is definitely a pending problem.

Hi Jean,

I have not been able to reproduce the issue so far. How long do you normally leave the machine hibernating before you bring it back up?

Ricardo,
Usually it is hibernated for a few hours, when unattended or during the night. usually not more than 12 hours.

I have noticed in Windows event viewer a number of warnings about "AutoMate licensing 10" which I find curious (see below).

I could not clearly correlate them to the disconnection, neither to a specific time of hibernation. But I wonder why BPA10.0.0.33 would be complaining about licensing while no such warning was issued with any of the previous betas. Dec22 is the date I installed BPA 10.0.0.33 and the messages became to appear at random since, on Dec22, Dec27 and Jan9.
Last warning was on Jan 09 , one hour before hibernation, and I found the Agent disconnected upon resume on Jan 10.
I will keep watching such events when I find it next disconnected. But I wanted to mention this strange finding. No smoke without fire.

The "Automate licensing 10" tcp error appeared again to-day at 15:33 PM local time, and was followed (without any hibernation) by a period where all services looked fine in the services console but no triggering was any more possible.
To return to normal, all three BPA services had to be turned down (or killed as necessary) then restarted.
This tends to demonstrate that this error is recurrent for no (yet) apparent reason and causes some sort of disconnection inside BPA. But that disconnection does not materialize on the tray icon which remains colorful and hovered as "connected".

The reported licensing tcp error was neither preceded nor followed by other event logs within minutes.

Further diagnosis by development will be made difficult due to the non verbosity of the error. But there is definitely something wrong in there.

For sake of completeness, I need mentioning that I had another "Automate Licencing 10" error on Sunday 12, still independent from any hibernation, which I could NOT correlate to any loss of triggering capability, since triggering survived it.

Two more such events today Monday 13, without any impact on triggering.
My assumption of a link between those "Automate Licensing 10" errors and loss of triggering seems to fade out.
