As everyone has discovered, the beta 2 release of v10 expired as of today, March 1st. The development team worked diligently to get us a beta 3 release prior to beta 2's expiration but some issues arose that delayed the release for a few more days. Unfortunately, until beta 3 is released, testing for v10 will be temporarily postponed.

The release of beta 3 will bring a couple of exciting features:

- 64bit Support - The beta 3 release will come with 4 installers: AM10 x86, AM10 x64, BPA10 x86 and BPA10 x64. The 32bit versions of AM10 and BPA10 WILL NOT install on 64bit operating systems as well as 64bit versions of AM10 and BPA10 WILL NOT install on 32bit operating systems.

- Logon Credentials - Logon functionality for Windows Vista and higher has been updated so that UAC, Software SAS Generation and security prompts are no longer an obstacle for AM10 and BPA10 to logon/unlock workstations. The only time Software SAS Generation will affect the logon/unlock process is if the setting is explicitly disabled.

Both of the above features have been highly anticipated and requested features for many years and we want to make sure it's functional for a beta release. Please be patient and soon enough these features will be in your hands to test.

That full 64 bits support is a much expected feature.
I appreciate its unanticipated coming in v10. That's worth the delay.
I suppose that mixed 64 bits/32bits systems will still communicate nicely with each other in BPA server/agents networks ?

Hi Jean,

That is the goal. Both the 32bit and 64bit installers for BPA will include both agents for deployment. The deployment will deploy same "bitness" agents as the "bitness" of Windows.

Hi Guys,

Are we any closer to an updated beta yet, if not how about adjusting the previous beta with an extended expiry date?

Cheers,

Ken

Just checking in... How is the internal testing going? Does it look like a new build this week will be likely?

Thanks,

-Eric
