Did the full BPA 10.0.0.35 install, re-using existing SQL database from former Betas.
Install went OK and SMC displays OK.

Keyboard triggering seems working, but the triggered task does not display its message box ("Unexpected error" in single step). See picture

Big problem is that CPU sticks forever at 100% with BPA10 agent and Event monitor saturating the system, making it unusable.
See picture
Exiting BPA from the tray icon returns CPU to more civilized values.

Hi Jean,

Does the CPU utilization only occur after triggering the task or is it constant the moment the agent and event monitor are started?

It happened immediately after installation, before any triggering.
I stopped BPA10, then later restarted it with the same outcome.
I also tried disabling "general triggering", which indeed disabled triggering, but 100% CPU persisted

When restarting after stopping BPA,
I started the Agent service. Immediately BPAEM crashed upon restart (documented in another thread. But BPA 10 Agent is saturating one of the CPU's (45% alone)
I then started manually BPAEM, which in turn consumes another 40-45% of CPU.

Hereunder a summary of major issues regarding BPA 10 Beta 3 64 bits :
- both agent and BPAEM saturate one CPU
- Message boxes do not display and cause an "unidentified erreor"
- opening basic script IDE causes an error
- in French Windows, agent precludes typing multi-stroke characters in the system

I installed an agent on a 32 bits XP, with the server on 64bits Win7 and they could work together. Looks promising.
But the 100% CPU makes it quite impractical on both computers.
I cannot really keep testing in such conditions.

Please provide ASAP a Beta4 that will resolve at least the major showstoppers :
- CPU saturation
- Message boxes issue, which I identified as being rooted in the display settings for readability
- Basic script IDE failure

so that testing can go on.

Jean,

A beta 4 release will not be for some time. A hotfix .dll file will be provided to clear the amts.exe/bpa_ts.exe CPU utilization issues as soon as possible. However, the Basic script and Dialog actions will not be addressed until the next beta release. Unfortunately, DPI will need to be adjusted on your machine to allow the dialog box to function properly and the edit button for Basic scripts will need to be avoided.

Thank you, Leonard.
That will be an acceptable interim compromise. At least enabling more testing.
