Migrating to Automate 10 - Task Only Completes Successfully when run interactively on screen. Clicking Run task completes successfully.
Fails on Step 6 Access denied error. Attempting to copy file to a UNC folder when task starts based on file add trigger or by clicking Run. Has anyone seen this problem with Automate 10? Code is attached.
Task Steps: (Right click, Select All, Copy to copy to the clipboard. Steps can then be pasted into the AutoMate Task Builder) Edited: 11/14/2014 at 11:46 AM by JimGrace |

Hi Jim,
Is the user the task is set to the same user that you are logged in with?

Yes it is. And it's the default user for Automate.

Hi Jim,
Would it be possible to set-up a GoToAssist session where we can take a closer look at this issue? If this is possible please send an email over to AutoMate.Support@helpsystems.com with a list of your availability. Note: Please reference this forum thread in your email.

I just sent the following to Support as I had not found this Discussion Board. "Converted an Automate 8 job to Automate 10. The job runs fine when executed from Automate 10 Administration Tasks. The Job appears to start but immediately stops and returns an Error Code 1 when run from Batch Command Line using "D:\Program Files\AutoMate 10\AMTaskCm.exe"." This sounds very similar to what we are esperiencing. The job is failing under Automate 10.7.0.3 on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Hello Keith,
Besides the "error code 1" message, is there any additional error text that you receive? When running from task builder, it is running as the currently logged on user. If your right click on the task, select properties, then logon, is the user set the same as the user you are logged in as? If not, switch it to the user info of the user you are currently logged in as and run the task once more. If it doesn't error, then there are some kind of permission differences between the two users. Also, is it running in the background? if so, change it to "logged on user" and test. If it works, then it means the task is interactive and cannot run in the background.
