When downloading files via advanced FTP download (MGET) only one file downloads at once, there are only 2 files on the FTP server both .bak files each approx 2-3GB in size.

Time to download is also very slow.

Stuart,

As far as I recall, MGET allows the downloading of multiple files based on wildcards, however, the multiple files are not downloaded simultaneously. Automate is using the same functionality when you select MGET from the advanced section of the FTP download activity. The downloads will occur in a linear fashion.

Hi Stuart,

I responded to your support case as well. We will have to test multi-threading in our FTP action early next week and see where the bottleneck may be. It's possible that our SFTP component does not support multi-threading but we will know definitively early next week. I apologize for the inconvenience.

One workaround would be to trigger a subtask to open a separate SFTP download connection per file.

Hello Ron,

AutoMate will only download one file at a time. We have added a feature request to allow multithread downloads.

We hope to implement this feature into future versions of the software.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
