Hi Guys,

I actually thinking about a test case for process agents.
My example: I get a list of API endpoints from a datebase and save them into a dataset.
Actually i use normall task agents to Loop (Batch Operation) through the dataset and save the json answers to file. After that i use jq to modify the json forms (also Batch Operation) and Import the data to the database (also Batch Operation=.
The file operations are a little bit tricky here so it would be nicer to safe the data to into datasets or Arrays. I took a look on the Array example but didn't understand it.
Some questions:

1. What is the better storage Option for that Kind of Task? An Array or a dataset?
2. How can i create manually an dataset?

Regards
Timo

Timo, this sounds more like an application for an array than for a dataset. AutoMate datasets are designed as a place to receive tabular data all at once, where arrays are designed to be added to incrementally, when you don't know how many you're going to need. You create the array with a minimal size, then as you need more (often in a loop), you can change the dimensions and insert the additional data. That design intent difference is why you can't find a way to manually create a dataset.
