Hi,

We have created 5 task that is triggered simultaneously to wait for a file before proceeding. Each of the task job is to run a third-party app to process each file assign to it. This third party app could only run one file at a time. The problem is most of the time some of the files will arrive at the same time. How can I manage Automate to process one task at a time on this scenario?

Right now what I did is each task will check if a trigger file exists. If yes, don't proceed with the task. Hoping that will control it to run one process at a time. On a scenario that 3 of the files arrived at the same time. Automate creates the trigger file then run properly, deletes the trigger file once done, the other 2 will run at the same time since it detected the trigger file was gone.

The reason that we are doing this is we want to process a file immediately when it becomes available

Hi Kris,

Are all 5 tasks monitoring the same folder? If so would it be possible to have 1 task kick off (via file trigger) then loop and process each file one at a time?
